Consultation and Evaluation

Create a Personalized Plan

We recommend scheduling a 15-minute phone consultation with our psychiatrist to explore how our integrative approach to mental health can benefit you. New patients start with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, a 60-minute session to assess your current situation, including symptoms and past treatments. In this meeting, we will discuss your goals and treatment options to develop a personalized plan that sets you on the path to improved mental fitness and better brain health.

We offer assessments and coaching to help you build skills in these areas, available through our comprehensive Brain Health Blueprint program or during individual sessions with our psychiatrist. Mindfulness-Based Nature Therapy

Cultivate a Calm Mind in Nature

In our tech-driven world, the healing benefits of nature are often overlooked. Research shows that spending time in natural surroundings improves mental health by offering a calming environment where people can relax and engage in therapy more successfully than in traditional office settings. We offer individual mindfulness-based nature therapy sessions and programs specifically designed for adults, high school students, and youth, aimed at promoting positivity, boosting happiness, and improving attention to develop a more resilient and optimistic mindset.

Medication Management

Find Safe and Effective Solutions

Medications are an important tool for managing symptoms of psychiatric disorders. However, many people experience only partial or temporary relief from medications. In these cases, we explore alternative treatment options and work to address side effects and drug interactions that could limit their effectiveness. For clients wanting to reduce their dependence on medications, we offer guidance on safely tapering off prescription drugs. Our psychiatrist prescribes medications for various conditions, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and more.

Benefits

Research shows that holistic therapies and nature-based treatments offer benefits for enhancing mental health. Here are some of the ways these powerful approaches can improve your mental fitness.

Enhancing Calm

Spending time in nature and practicing mindfulness can reduce cortisol levels, the stress hormone, while activating the parasympathetic nervous system. This process lowers heart rate and blood pressure, creating a sense of calm and safety.

Promoting Clarity

Mindfulness practices, certain types of cognitive behavioral therapy, and nature experiences help to refocus attention away from negative thoughts and worries, enhancing cognitive flexibility and promoting a clearer, more balanced perspective.

Building Confidence

Applying positive psychology techniques and participating in therapeutic outdoor activities improves brain function and builds confidence by promoting resilience, enhancing optimism, and increasing motivation, enabling you to achieve your goals and feel great.

Fostering Connection

Engaging with nature and practicing mindfulness techniques centered on self-compassion empowers people by connecting them with their authentic selves, offering a remedy for loneliness while nurturing a deeper bond with the planet and enhancing their sense of belonging.
